Jim Farell leads the groups responsible for all display, optics and mechanical engineering and user experience at Visteon worldwide.
Jim’s more than three decades in the auto industry began as a General Motors co-op student and plant engineer at the former Willow Run Assembly Plant in southeastern Michigan. Over his 25 years at Ford and Visteon, Jim has managed teams delivering a diverse portfolio of products including instrument clusters, body electronics and modules, audio head units, displays and powertrain control modules.
Jim has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the GMI Engineering and Management Institute with a minor in optics. He also has a master’s in electrical engineering from Stanford University, with a concentration in quantum electronics.
